Dr. Larry Daugherty and Mrs. Laura Johnson are a father/daughter team and co-owners of Light of HOPE. Laura’s daughter, Mary Charles, was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in 2017. As an educator, Laura’s number one concern was finding resources to help her daughter. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services were not available in their community, so they traveled 90 miles twice a week to receive services. The results were amazing, but the travel became too much on Mary Charles. Laura and Larry decided to open their own ABA therapy clinic in order to serve children like Mary Charles in and around their community of Brunswick, Georgia. Light of HOPE opened its doors in May of 2020 and continues to serve the WHOLE child through behavior analysis by offering more than just one therapy in isolation.
Your needs and your child's needs are our top priority. We work closely with parents and our community to provide high-quality ABA therapy and education, while empowering and training our staff to be the best behavioral therapists around. It takes a team to provide successful behavior analysis services, and we look forward to working closely with you!
We are fully aware that children meet goals more quickly when there is a team of therapists working toward a common goal. Light of HOPE allows children to work with a team of behavioral therapists that focus on common goals through ABA services and thus provide the support each child needs to be more successful.
Be the first to hear about special events, new ABA services, and how YOU can contribute to autism awareness.
