Our Team

Laura is the CEO at Light of HOPE. She is a former kindergarten teacher with a Specialist degree in education. Laura is a wife and mother to two girls. Her youngest, Mary Charles, has special needs and has had five years of intense therapies. Traveling hours to receive ABA therapy was hard on Mary Charles, so Laura's dream of having a local ABA services learning center was born. Working with children is her passion. She is co-owner of Light of HOPE Learning Center with her father, Larry. 

Dr. Larry Daugherty is the CFO at Light of HOPE. He is a retired dentist with over 35 years of experience in running his own practice. He is a husband, father, and papa to five grandchildren. One granddaughter, Mary Charles, is on the spectrum and has a rare gene mutation. Larry’s passion is helping others. After watching his granddaughter succeed with her ABA therapy, he turned his focus on bringing these amazing ABA services to his community and other children in need. Larry is co-owner of Light of HOPE with his daughter, Laura.

Dr. Amber is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the Clinical Director at Light of HOPE. She has worked in various capacities within the field of ABA therapy since 2010. Amber has provided ABA services in many different settings, including home-based, clinic, community, school, and virtual. This wide range of experience has led Amber to pursue other applications of behavior analysis, excelling in organizational behavior management skills. Amber is driven by a love for science, and she takes pride in providing compassionate care ABA services to all. She is committed to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and loves being part of the Light of HOPE team!
