Cate is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Light of HOPE. She began her career working with children with Autism as a Special Education Teacher in public schools in Virginia. She also worked at a therapeutic day school for adolescents with Autism where she learned all about ABA therapy and fell in love with the science behind ABA. There, she designed and opened the first ABA classroom as the lead teacher and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She decided that she wanted to pursue her certification as a BCBA and continued working as an RBT as a practicum student. She became a BCBA in February of 2023 and joined Light of HOPE in October. She has been so excited to see the progress that our clients have made and is thrilled to be a part of such a supportive and caring company.
